Watch your kids, they will let you know when they have had
enough. However, always challenge them to try and do their best.
Shooters and Runners (Cowboys and Indians) Game
Divide the group of players up into two teams. Do not worry about playing vests or pennies since they are not necessary. Create a running lane by setting up two parallel lines of cones about 10 to 15 yards a part and about 20 yards long. Position one team at the end of the running lane and have the other team line up along both sides of cones outside the running lane with a ball or two at their feet.
Upon the coaches command, the team the end of the running
lane must attempt to advance to the other end of the running lane without being
hit below the waist by a ball. Instruct the shooters on keeping the ball
low and do not shoot above the waist. Upon getting hit by a ball, the
runner becomes a shooter and takes a position along the cones. Keep playing
until all but one or two players are shooters. Switch teams and begin the
game again.

Team Freeze Soccer Game Or Doctor - Doctor
Team Freeze Soccer is taken from Tom Fleck and Ron Quinn's, Guide to Great Soccer Drills, p73, #59. Create a rectangular area which may be adjusted based upon the size of the group and the success of the players in attempting to play the game. Divide the group into small teams of about 5 to 8. My experience is that anything above 8 may not be as fun for the kids. One team will have balls at their feet to begin the game while the other team will play with any balls.
The object of the game is for the team with the balls to freeze all the players of the other team. A player is frozen by getting hit below the waist with a ball. Please instruct the shooting team on accuracy of the shot and keeping it low. Once frozen, a player stands at the position where he/she was it with their hands on their hips. A player may be unfrozen by a team mate by having this team mate crawl through the legs of the frozen player. PLEASE INSTRUCT THE SHOOTING TEAM THAT PLAYERS UNDER THE LEGS OF A FROZEN PLAYER ARE SAFE AND CANNOT BE HIT. Only when the player stands will both players be unfrozen and active.
Determine how long it takes for the team to freeze all the players or give them a fixed amount of time to determine the number of players frozen. Switch the shooting team and play again.
Cone Knock Down Game
Cone Knock Down is taken from Joe Luxbacher's, Soccer
Practice Games, p70, #61. This is a small sided game played on a regular size
playing field with two end zones and tall cones placed within these zones.
Divide the players into teams of four or five with playing vest to designate the
members of the teams

Players on a team try to knock over the opponent's cones by
shooting or passing from the outside the end safety zones. The ball may be
played out of the safety end zones, but cones cannot be knocked over from within
this area. You may play this game for a fixed amount of time or until all
the cones of one team are knocked over.
